What Meal Plans do you offer?

We offer a variety of meal plans to meet your on campus dining needs. Check out our Meal Plan page for a full list of offerings.

What type of Meal Plan is recommended?

We have a variety of meal plans to meet your needs! Depending on your class year, where you live, and how much you are on campus, our recommendations may vary.

How can I purchase a Meal Plan?

You can purchase your meal plan via our Meal Plans page, or by visiting us on campus at GC 1215. Panther Dining Accepts Visa, MasterCard and Amex to purchase meal plans on line and in the GC1215 office.

Are Meal Plans required?

Students, primarily freshmen, who are housed in Panther Hall or Lakeview (North and South) are automatically enrolled in a meal plan as part of their housing contract.

All other students are welcome to purchase a meal plan as well. While a meal plan purchase is not required, many students take advantage of the convenience and value a meal plan has to offer.

I am going to live in Panther/Lakeview Hall, what are my meal plan options?

You have the option of choosing VIP7 or the VIP5 meal plans. Both plans this year are the same price, so take your pick!

If I live in Panther/Lakeview Hall, can I change my meal plan?

If you want to change between the VIP5 and VIP7, or upgrade to the Ultimate Access 5 ($150) or Ultimate Access 7 ($200) you can do it during the first week of classes in the fall at the Housing Office in UT121. You can add Dining Dollars at any time.

What are Dining Dollars?

Dining Dollars are accepted as payment at all Panther Dining locations on the MMC and BBC campuses. They are loaded right on your FIU One Card, so there is no need to carry around cash or another card! They work on the same principle as a bank debit card. There is no minimum balance, over draft fees, or hassles! (They are not accepted at Re-Charge U, Barnes and Noble Café or Vicky Cafe.)

How do I get Dining Dollars?

You can purchase your meal plan via our Meal Plans page, or by visiting us on campus at GC 1215.

What if I want to change my Meal Plan?

Non-housing Meal Plan change requests must be submitted to the Meal Plan Office by the end of the second week of the fall semester. For questions, give us a call.

How do I get into The Fresh Food Company once I have purchased my Meal Plan?

Within 24 hours, your FIU One Card will be activated with your meal plan. Present your card to the cashier, and you are all set!

Can I carry meals over to the next semester?

No, all meals expire at the end of the semester.

Can I treat a friend to a meal?

To keep discounts as high as possible, meals are reserved for the meal plan holder only. However, you can always treat a friend using Dining Dollars.

What do I do when by Dining Dollars balance gets low?

You can reload your Dining Dollars at any time! Dining Dollars can be purchased via our Meal Plans page, or by visiting us on campus at GC1215.

Where is the Meal Plan Office Located?

Panther Dining office is located in GC1215.

My family is coming for the weekend; can we eat lunch at The Fresh Food Company?

Yes, all family and friends are welcomed to our “all-you-care-to-eat” dining facility. Once again, you can treat your family members by using your Dining Dollars, or they can pay by cash, debit or credit card.

Can I sell back my unused meals?

Unfortunately, meals do not carry over from one week to another or one semester to another.

What is the minimum amount I can add to my Dining Dollars?

$25.00

When does the meal plan start?

The fall portion of your meal plan begins with lunch on Saturday, the week before classes start, and ends with brunch on the last day of undergrad finals. The Spring portion of your meal begins with lunch on Friday, the week before classes start, and ends  the last day of undergrad finals. Visits to The Fresh Food Company in Flex weekly plans do not carry over from one week to the next. Meals in Block or BYOP plans do not carryover from semester to semester.

Where do I get my Meal Plan card?

Your FIU One Card contains your Meal Plan. Get your FIU One Card from the FIU One Card Office on campus - Gold Garage at MMC or WUC 143 on BBC.

Do you offer vegetarian/vegan options?

There are a variety of vegetarian/vegan options located though out our dining venues. The Fresh Food Company has a hot entrée station dedicated to vegetarian options every day in addition to a soup and the salad bar.

Why do I have to create an account in order to check out?

For you, and us, to be able to best track orders, and to be able to contact you in case of a question regarding your order we ask that you create a CampusDish account.

How do I create an account?

Click the "Login" button, and then on the login page click the "create a new account" link.

Use our Comparison Box and Nutritional Calculator to get the most out of your eating decisions. Select products from the Menu section and use one of the options below to get accurate comparisons and information about your choices.

How do I get a Promotional Code?

Unfortunately, we are not currently offering Promotional Codes. We may offer Promotional Codes in the future, so please check back periodically.

How do I use the Menu?

We have utilities designed to help your health. Use the Meal Calculator Box to quickly relate the nutritional information of two or more items. The Meal Calculator can populate the nutritional value of your meal. Use our quick nutritional icons to identify food with special preparation or contents at a glance.

What are AFO/FPO/DPO addresses?

APO and FPO addresses allow the postal service to efficiently deliver mail to active duty military members serving overseas. When the mail arrives at the APO or FPO, the staff will send the mail onto the proper division of the military to which the addressee belongs. The division then delivers the mail to the individual. 

How do I increase password security?

Your password should be at least 8 characters that include upper and lower case characters, numbers, and symbols. You should always use a unique password for each website you use; that way, if one account gets compromised, the rest are safe. Other ways to ensure the security of your password include:

    • If passwords must be written down on a piece of paper, store the paper in  a secure place and destroy it when it is no longer needed.

    • Never share passwords with anyone.

    • Change passwords immediately if they may have been compromised.

    • Be careful about where passwords are saved on computers. Some dialog boxes present an option to save or remember a password. Selecting this option poses a potential security threat.

How do I use variants?

Have your food your way! Choose from our variant options to customize your meal exactly how you want it. Please note any charges that might be associated with adding additional variants to your meal.

What is a CVV?

The Card Validation Code is a 3 digit number set that uniquely identifies your credit card.


Visa/Mastercard and Discover Users

Flip your card over and look at the signature box. You should see either the entire 16-digit credit card number or just the last four digits followed by a special 3-digit code. This 3-digit code is your Card Security Code.

American Express Credit Card Users
Look for the 4-digit code printed on the front of your card just above and to the right of your main credit card number. This 4-digit code is your Card Identification Number (CID). The CID is the four-digit code printed just above the Account Number.

Why are my products split into separate orders and why does this happen?
